Founded in 2010, House of Skin and Beauty began as a small, intimate salon with a simple mission: to offer exceptional skincare and beauty treatments delivered with warmth,integrity, and true expertise.
As the salon grew, so did the trust of our clients – leading us to expand into larger premises in 2012 and build the welcoming, luxurious space we have today.
With the highest worldwide-recognised qualification in beauty therapy – CIDESCO, achieved in 1987, and awarded ‘Student of the Year’, Sarah brings decades of knowledge, precision, and passion to the salon. Her commitment to excellence shapes everything we do, from advanced skin treatments to the calm, caring atmosphere that defines our approach.
House of Skin and Beauty is very much a family-built business. Sarah’s husband, Pete – a skilled builder and carpenter- transformed the salon from a damp, dark cellar into a beautifully designed retreat. Today, the space includes four treatment rooms downstairs, one ground floor room for clients who prefer or require step-free access, nail desks, and a fully stocked Dermalogica retail area.
Every detail has been created with comfort, accessibility, and luxury in mind.

Our Ethos and Beliefs
I believe that in running a successful salon, you have to offer an enjoyable and excellent service at all times and an important part of achieving this is using good quality products, brands that continue to advance their ingredients and the continuation of staff training to ensure the team are always keeping ahead of new innovations.
We are very proud to have been recognised as a Prestige Platinum Dermalogica Skin Centre. Dermalogica’s focus on new and improved ingredients and innovations allow this brand to be continually ‘on top of their game’. They offer an amazing educational program for Skin therapists supporting their journey from ‘Certified’ to ‘Expert status’. increasing their knowledge in all things skin, allowing them to offer the most advanced skin services for all skin concerns.
Other brands that I am very passionate about at House Of Skin & Beauty are High definition for Brows and the well renowned Lash Bomb and Brow Bomb for Lash lifts and Brow Lamination and ‘Perron Rigot,’ which is a French brand of wax in both hot and cold formulations. We work with a few Partnerships at House Of Skin & Beauty. These ladies run their own businesses from our lovely salon.
Make up Artist, Imogen specialises in Day and evening make up as well as events such as Prom, Graduation, Parties and Weddings.
Nail Stylist, Oksana specialises in all things Nails and has a love for nail art.
Dr Debbie, our Level 7 Medical Clinician.
Debbie has worked with me for over 8 years now and myself and our clients trust her completely. Having originally trained as a Dentist, I feel it is so important when providing the more invasive services to our clients, that they have a background knowledge and experience within the medical profession.
We have some really excellent employed therapists within our team specialising in Skin treatments and Lashes along with offering the full menu of essential beauty treatments.

Training in Beauty Therapy on leaving school back in 1986, I feel very proud to have achieved the worlds’ prestigious CIDESCO qualification in Aesthetics and Beauty and was presented with Honours and ‘Student of the Year’ on completion of the course….
All of these years on, I am still incredibly passionate about my work and love to make people feel confident, happy and good about themselves.
As a Beauty Therapist, our job is so varied, with every day, even every hour, there are different treatments to enjoy….
My true passion is the Dermalogica Skin Treatments and following their intensive training schedule with the International Dermal Institute, I have achieved Dermalogica Skin expert status. The ongoing education enables me to offer the most up to date skin treatments and to see the transformation in my clients skin following my treatment and home care recommendations.

I have been in the beauty industry now for nearly 10years since finishing my levels two and three beauty therapy at the College of West Anglia. Since leaving college I went on to work at an Imagine Spa for two years and then before joining House of Skin & Beauty, I worked in a salon for 6 years in Cambridgeshire. I joined House of Skin & Beauty in October 2023 and have become a Dermalogica certified therapist and completed training in Laser Hair removal and Phototherapy. I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge further in advanced skin treatments. I enjoy all aspects of my job and particularly enjoy nail treatments and skin treatments.”

I am a senior Beauty therapist and have been part of the House of Skin & Beauty team for nearly 11 years. I completed my full beauty NVQ training at Burghley Academy in Peterborough and I offer a range of treatments in salon. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of my job but I do specialise in Skin treatments… They are my passion! I just love to see my clients’ faces when they open their eyes after a relaxing facial to beautiful glowing skin!
Following intensive training with the International Dermal Institute, I am a Dermalogica skin Expert, and I attend regular training to improve my knowledge, new techniques and product revolution. Here at House of Skin & Beauty we work in partnership with our qualified, Medical Facial Aesthetic Clinician, Dr. Deborah, who offers natural, non-surgical facial enhancements.
Our clinician works full-time in medical aesthetics and has undertaken regular clinics with us for over five years, completing 8000 cases in that time. Clinics are offered on both a Tuesday and Thursday including some evening appointments.
Dr. Deborah gained her degree in 2001 and in 2010 completed further training in Injectable Aesthetic Medicine at a world-renowned training academy in London. She is amongst a selection of postgraduate clinicians who have studied under Prof. Bob Khanna (President of the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics).
In February, Dr. Deborah had her portfolio approved by a Manchester training institute to study for the new HEE and OFQUAL approved Level 7 qualification in Medical Injectable Aesthetics, when it is launched next year. Level 7 will be a further postgraduate qualification and is offered to clinicians who will then be amongst the highest tier of the industry.
